OEM INFORMATION

If you or your company are video integrators, machine vision specialists or involved in any applications which require multiple units of quality optics, you have come to the right place: INFINITY.

Our lenses and optics really are different from "the others." Infinity has developed optics that are smaller, better and more cost-effective—if not less-expensive. Here, you will see suggestions for using our products in assembly-line and custom applications. Of course, all Infinity Products have potential OEM uses. But, our Proximity™ Series and InfiniProbe™ Series optics are particularly suited for OEM applications.

Custom Design

Infinity will build custom optics as long as they are based on our proprietary technology. We often refer to this approach as re-configuration or “hybrid” technology. In other words, we don't design generic optical systems based on design principles other than our own. Most likely, one of our standard instruments should meet your needs. However, if you have special requirements or unusual installation configurations, we can probably design a custom system based on one of our existing products. Because the modularity of Infinity systems makes them so extremely adaptable, it is not uncommon for us to develop a custom solution—or even invent an entirely new instrument in a matter of days or even hours. Often we will design an instrument for a client entirely for their own proprietary OEM application. Other times, when client confidentiality is not a major concern, we may incorporate the design or system into our mainstream product line. In fact, this is how some of our most successful products have been developed.

IF we don't make it—we probably can. For example, one IC manufacturer needed quick delivery to meet a production schedule. A competitor who already had a somewhat-suitable product quoted a 10 week delivery time. That would have put the IC manufacturer six weeks behind schedule. They called us to see if we made such a product—we didn't—not yet. From scratch we developed and delivered what later evolved into the InfiniTube FM-Series™ in three weeks, enabling the manufacturer to go into production even sooner than planned.

Even if we do make it, we can probably remake it for a very specific purpose. A NASA contractor needed a long-distance microscope for a potential space mission. Unfortunately, our (then) world-standard Model K2™ (now upgraded to the Model K2/S™) was simply too heavy and bulky. Still, the K2's resolution was needed. Could Infinity "do something?" The call was phoned-in about 10:30am; by 2:00pm, three production models (we literally skipped the prototype stage) were shipped out overnight. That version went on to be a 1995 Photonics "Circle of Excellence" Award-winner.
